Moore Blatch Resolve backs national cycle safety campaign

Moore Blatch Resolve has given its backing to a national cycle safety campaign, believing it’s time to put a stop to the needless loss of lives.

Launched this week by The Times newspaper, the ‘Cities fit for cycling’ campaign highlights the need for action to be taken over the safety of British roads.

The latest quarterly road casualty statistics released by the Department for Transport (DfT) reveal an alarming 7 per cent rise in the number of bike riders killed or seriously injured.

The paper is calling on the Government to take practical steps to reduce cycle casualties.

Measures outlined by the newspaper include introducing a 20mph speed limit in residential areas with no cycle lanes, and for the most dangerous hotspots and junctions to be identified and redesigned.
